Johnny Allen Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 7, 2025.
On the 18th day of May in 1951 in Brookhaven Mississippi, a baby boy was born to Etheline McClain and Johnny Clark. He was the only boy to six sisters. His Family moved from Mississippi to

Los Angeles California in 1962 where he continued and graduated his studies at Manual Arts High School in 1969.

When he began working, he became a mail carrier for the United States Postal Office for approximately 10+ years. After leaving the U.S. Post Office, he began a career with Children's Hospital Sunset in sanitation as a Building Services Worker where he later retired from.

Johnny's favorite thing to do was watching old television shows on Peacock, and different sports from football and basketball, to Major League Baseball. Yes, he was a Dodgers fan and a Laker fan. When asked who his favorite football team was, he liked the Miami Dolphins and the Los Angeles Rams but wouldn't just commit to being a fan of only one. He simply stated "I just like the game of football!"

Johnny was a kind hearted man who believed in the most high God! He would send morning prayers and notes of inspiration through text to his family members and friends every day. He had no idea how much those messages were needed and how many lives he touched through just a simple text. When he would receive a response from family members, "that they needed that quote" or "prayer" that he sent, gave him a sense of accomplishment and gratitude that he was able to help somebody that day. It meant the world to him and gave him peace and joy to know that he was spreading God's word and blessing somebody's life.

In late July, Johnny had become ill and later transitioned on October 7th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Etheline and Johnny Clark, His sister's Katie Jean Kelly, Patricia Nell Allen, Betty Jean Edwards, Shirley Elaine Thompson, two brother-in-laws, Tommy L. Stampley, and Marion Thompson, one great neice Cassandra M. Nunez . He leaves his two surviving siblings Deborah Staley and Sandra Stampley , and a host of nieces,

nephews, and friends.
