The Reverend Doctor (Pastor) Johnny Ashburn was our pastor at the Woodstock Assembly of God Church in Woodstock, Illinois for the better part of 20 years. He was a true blue man of God in every respect! We loved him dearly! He's the only pastor we ever had who would teach an adult Sunday School class for an hour every Sunday and then go straight to the pulpit and preach from the Word of God for another hour or so. Amazing faith and witness for all who ever knew him.
I never knew he was a missionary in India but he must have been in all his glory bringing new souls to salvation through Jesus Christ, who the Indians were not really familiar with. But Pastor Johnny could make friends with anyone, man, woman or child. He was an amazing minister of the Word! He will be sorely missed by Nancy, his children, and all who knew and loved him!!!
