Johnny W. Burke
Johnny Wayne Burke, born on December 26, 1948, in Chesnee, SC, passed away suddenly on October 27, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center. He leaves behind a lasting legacy as the owner of Johnny's Auto Accessories, where he was known not just for his business acumen but for his warm and inviting personality.
Johnny was a beloved member of the community and was the type of person that everyone loved. His engaging spirit fostered many special friendships, including a profound bond with Mike Martin, who regarded Johnny as a brother. His passion for music, particularly for Elvis, was a significant part of his life, enriching the lives of those around him.
Johnny is survived by his devoted wife, Omelia Jolley Harris-Burke; his son, Larry Burke (and his mother Mary Burke), and son Dusty Harris and wife Katie Scruggs, as well as his daughter, Jacquie Henderson and husband Shane. He is also remembered with love by his brothers, Butch Wilson and wife Linda, Mike Burke, and his sisters, Nancy Clary and husband Steve, and Sandra Harris and husband Timmy. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Eli Henderson, Nyquille O'Fair, Ava Humphries, and Riley and Stella Harris.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Larkin King Burke Jr., his mother, Mary Frances Martin and his step-father, Dewey Martin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Harris - Nadeau Mortuary in Chesnee, SC, beginning at 11:00 AM, with attendees invited to reflect on the joy and love Johnny brought into their lives. This gathering will honor his memory and the many lives he touched throughout his journey.
