Johnny Wayne Cook, 66, of Albany, GA, died May 18, 2024 at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Floral Memory Gardens. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate. A visitation will be held at Mathews before the service from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm with a procession to follow to Floral Memory Gardens.
Johnny was born in Enterprise, AL on July 9, 1957 to Raymond Robert and Nellie Ruth Cook. They moved to Albany at an early age, where Johnny grew up and attended Albany Public Schools. He was a skilled carpenter and was employed with A To Z Repair and Remodel. Johnny loved to fish (catfish), play the Lottery and shoot pool. He was a loving, caring and giving person and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his siblings, William Cook, Buddy Cook, Dorothy Pendleton and Carolyn Cude.
Survivors include his children, Deena Cook and Derrick Cook both of Albany, GA, Jonathan (Ann) Cook of Tifton, GA, Misty Bennett of Edison, GA, Phillip (China) Pearson, Heather Pearson and Kenneth Pearson all of Albany, GA, a brother, Don Cook of Warner Robins, GA and a sister-in-law, Joann Cook of Albany, GA, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
