Johnny passed away on September 29, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound impact on those who knew him.
Known for his funny, quiet, and laid-back personality, Johnny was a sweet and soft-spoken individual who radiated calmness. He valued his privacy but was always present for his family, which he regarded as his proudest accomplishment. His love for his wife, Mrs. Betty Hagewood, who passed away on September 15, 2025 after 53 years of marriage, was profound, and their bond set a touching example for all.

He also found joy in the simple pleasure of scratch-off tickets, often sharing smiles and laughter over small wins and losses.

He was also survived by his nieces and nephews: Jimmy (Destiney) Cooper, Kenny Rogers, and Traci Lewis, along with his sister-in-law Shirley Rogers and brother-in-law Perry Rogers, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
