It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, who left this world peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and quiet generosity.

He was a strong parent, a steady source of support, and a guiding presence whose wisdom will continue to shape our lives. Those who knew him will remember his warm spirit, his steady patience, and the way he always made time for others. Throughout his life, he took pride in his work as a Trucking Manager/Freight forwarder, and he found joy in love of life in general. His humility, dedication, and gentle humor touched the lives of many.

Johnny Marshall was born Johny Edwards to Creasy Edwards and Jessie Marshall in Wharton County, Texas abt February 20, 1929. Johnny also utilized the family name "Timmons" and finally settled on Johnny (Johnnie) Edwards Marshall and birthdate March 30,1929. To family members he was known as "Sundown".

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Creasy and Jessie Marshall; his beloved grandmother, Alberta Timmons; a sister, Ella Mae George; two brothers, Samuel Hall, and CR Edwards; his first wife, Mary Chavez Ojo and his second wife and life partner Oza (Occie) L. Marshall.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory forward with love. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and that his legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Marshall (Olivia), TX; Ruth Marshall, NM; Helen Marshall-Baca, NM; David Marshall, NM; Albert Williams (Cathy), NM; Phillip L. Wade, TX; 20+ grandchildren; 62+ great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, host of other family and friends.

Johnny worked as the Deming Truck Terminal Manager and local freight forwarder for O-N-C Hopper and Merchant trucking companies. He lived his life to the fullest, working hard and partied hard. His signature was a pocket tee-shirt with a pack of cigarettes and his winddown drink was Johnnie Walker Red. He had a love of music, especially Blues. He instilled core values, hard work mentality and taught compassion to his children. He was a self-taught man and loved to read various types of books. He spent time with his family, fishing, camping, hunting and traveling around NM, AZ and northern Mexico. He was always willing to help someone and often gave water and food to people traveling through. He was also a spiritual person, believed in a Higher Power and knew God for himself.
