Johnny Clark Nolan, 68, departed this life to rest with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Johnny was born on September 29, 1955, to Eulet Franklin Nolan and Mary Elizabeth Clark in Myrtle, Mississippi.
Johnny began his 48-year career in Thomasville, GA as a Scout on Greenwood Plantation and retired from Boston Place as a Dog Trainer in June 2023.
Johnny trained many dogs throughout his career including Pointers, English Setters and English Cockers. He enjoyed many trips to Nebraska to train dogs and hunt.
Johnny loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Turkey hunting, fishing and traveling were some of his favorite pastimes. He spent much of his free time on hunting trips with his wife and friends traveling to various hunting and fishing paradises; including Alaska, Arizona, Oregon, New York, Neveda, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada.
Johnny was a dedicated follower and loyal fan of Ole Miss, Thomas County Central High School and Myrtle Attendance Center sports.
Johnny always loved an opportunity to return home to his hometown of Myrtle to visit family and friends. He was most excited about his recent decision to retire and move home after 34 years of living in Thomasville, GA.
Services to honor Johnny's life will be Wednesday, January 31 at 1:00 pm at United Funeral Home, with visitation to begin at 11:30 until time of service. Johnny will be laid to rest at Vista Memorial Park.

(William) of Hickory Flat, his twin brother Donny Nolan of Myrtle, six grandchildren; Logan Prince, Griffin Prince, Brice Hopper, Marla Stickland, Will Hopper and Libby Stickland, and a lifelong best friend Robert Merritt of New Albany.
