It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Johnny Mario Orozco Jr. Johnny was a loving Father, Son, Grandson, Great grandson, uncle, cousin and friend. Johnny passed away suddenly at the age of 29 on July 25 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. Johnny was born at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, California. Johnny was born to Vanessa (Sandoval) Salazar of Los Angeles, California, and Johnny Mario Orozco Sr. of Montebello, California on August 13th, 1994.
He is preceded in death by his Aunt Lil Debbie Orozco of Montebello, California. He is also preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother Dianna Sandoval of Rosemead, California. He is survived by His Son Andrew Orozco 10 of Los Angeles, CA, his daughter Melanie Orozco 7 of Los Angeles, CA, and his Son Koda Jackson 1 of Phoenix, Arizona, his Mother Vanessa Salazar, his step father Bobby Salazar of Pacoima CA, his father Johnny M. Orozco, his stepmother Dionysia Orozco of Pomona, CA his Sister Heaven Pesqueira of Los Angeles, CA, his Sister Alyssa Orozco of Oregon, and his brother Gilbert Salazar of Los Angeles, CA, his Paternal Grandmother Debbie Villalpando of Downey, CA, his paternal grandfather Mario Margarito Orozco of Los Angeles, CA, his Paternal Great grandmother Marylou Kuriyama of Montebello, CA, his Aunt Myrianne Dobbs of Franklin Kentucky, his Aunt Lydia Robles of Whittier, CA, his aunt Monique Orozco of Maywood, CA, his uncle Joey Murillo of Downey, CA, his Uncle Johnny Garcia of Los Angeles, CA, his Uncle Douglas Villalpando of Montebello,CA, his uncle Adam Dobbs of Franklin Kentucky, his Niece Azaria Castillo of Bowling Green Kentucky, his Niece Sage Castillo of Bowling Green Kentucky, his Cousin Angel Lopez of Whittier, CA his Cousin Serena Garcia of Whittier, CA his cousin Felicia Garcia of Whittier,CA, his cousin Johnnie Garcia of Whittier, CA, his cousin Johnny Garcia of Whittier, Ca, his cousin Lalani Garcia of Whittier, CA, his cousin Amanda Castaneda of El Monte, Ca his cousin Eden Smiles of Pasadena,CA his cousin Anaiis Smiles of Pasadena,Ca his cousin Kiara Ascencio of Montebello, Ca, his cousin Lilly Lagunas of Los Angeles, CA, his cousin Lil Joey of Downey Ca and many other cousins.
After graduating high school at Century High School in Alhambra, California, in 2012, Johnny was a student at Le cordon bleu and later went to school for business and engineering. He had various jobs working as a long-haul diesel truck driver, chef, and construction worker, among various other jobs.
Johnny was loved by so many, and he will be dearly missed. He was family-oriented and loved his kids endlessly. He loved to barbeque, loved to travel, and loved to laugh. He was compassionate and kind and would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He had an amazing smile that would light up the entire room. He was charming, respectful, determined, and reliable. He was full of life and gave his all in anything he wanted to accomplish. He will always be remembered and remain in our hearts forever. With tears of sorrow we cry each day, In angel's arms you were carried away, Our memories of love and laughter shall not fade for in our hearts you will always stay.
Johnny is due to have his viewing on Wednesday, August 28th from 10 am to 12 pm at Risher Mortuary located at 1316 W. Whittier Blvd Montebello, CA 90640. His burial will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery located at 3888 Workman Mill Rd. Whittier, CA 90601. Burial time will commence at 1 pm. Family and friends are welcome to all services being held in honor of Johnny's passing.
