i'm just about finished with my painting of the Ramones on canvas.
it depicts marky, johnny, joey and dee dee and with my 14 year old daughter in the middle.it's a cartoony acrylic painting of the brudda's. it's about 3'x31/2'and it's looking cool. oh yes. "i am an artist too"! as quoted by larry fine on one of the three stooges shorts. i'm not an artist like the Ramones musically, but equally i'm just as good. and i've been a fan for about 30 years. you guys and your music will live forever.

i had another dream of you johnny. and this time you were talking to jesus. i asked jesus what he thought of the ramones. and he turned to me and said in his ramones shirt, torn straight legged jeans and hi-top black converse sneakers and said,.."gabba, gabba, hey!"

On September 17th, when my family was coming back from the
restaurant where we ate for my dad's birthday, my sister called on
her cell phone to let us know about the sunset. When i looked at
it i saw what looked like Johnny Ramone sitting with a cat. The day
before i asked Johnny to let me know somehow he was okay. I guess that the cloud formation was it.

of all of ramones johnny, i thought that you would live forever. what a shame that you passed on so soon. i was shocked to hear it. i had a dream of you last night. in it, you were sitting behind a desk in charge of an office pool.this seemed out of character for you. i was also in the dream and waited patiently to introduce myself and tell you that i have been a fan for a long time. we briefly shook hands . and you soon left because you had to go to Mcdonalds to get something for lunch.i wanted to hang out with you but you ran ahead of me and the last thing i heard you say was that i should go. you'll be missed. a fan always, art vaisvilas. My thoughts & prayers go out to Johnny and his famly.
The Ramones are definately one of those bands who define a turning point in Rock & Roll history.
As I write this I am sitting under my framed Ramones concert poster in which they played the Georgian Room at the Olympic Hotel (Fairmont),in Seattle, March 6th, 1977. One night only, tickets $5.00. I was still a bit young then but my older brother Joe was lucky enough to attend and he snagged the poster off of a telephone pole.
Aloha, Mark

I am orginally from Anaheim, Ca. I remember my dad talking about going to see the Ramone's before I was born (1981) and how cool they were, especially Johnny, how orginal and fresh. I wish I could have gone and seen them in person. However, I did inherit my dad's album collection when he died 12 years ago.

The Ramones were one of the first "cool" bands I listened to as a kid. It's sad that Johnny suffered for so long. He'll be missed. At least now he's with Joey and Dee Dee again!
