Johnny Saiz Obituary
Johnny Saiz, age 57, of Sandia Park, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda; two sons, Michael Jose of Tulsa, Oklahoma and John Jr. (LeAnn) of New Jersey, two grandchildren, Alana and Johnny III; his mother, Carolina Saiz of Tijeras NM; two brothers, Louie (Patricia) of Tijeras NM and Albert (Criselda) of Tijeras NM; two sisters, Dolores (Kenneth) Opp of Albuquerque and Augustina "Sugar" (Arsenio) Cruz of Puerto Rico; his father and mother-in-law, Frank and Loretta Vigil of Chino Valley, Arizona; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ovedio. Johnny served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, retiring as a Sgt. 1st Class. After his retirement, Sgt. Saiz was proud to spend much of his time helping other military veterans. On May 4, 2010, Johnny and Rhonda celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Johnny loved fishing, working around the yard, and spending time with his dogs, Cochise, Poncho, and Sunshine. Friends may visit French - Lomas Chapel on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Monday, March 21, 2011, 4:30 p.m., at French - Lomas Chapel. There will be a graveside service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at 11:15 a.m.
