Johnny Ray Thomas

Johnny Ray Thomas of Locust Fork, Ala. passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 64.

Johnny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and C.N. Glasgow and Willie and Renea Thomas; and parents, Arnold and Sara Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Thomas; daughter, Corrie Stiverson (Daniel); grandsons, Griffin and Gunner Stidham; and siblings, Pete Thomas (Mary), Brenda Purcell (Will), Linda Carden (Frankie), Julie Fines (Jerry), and Joseph Thomas (Cindy).

A visitation and viewing for Johnny will be held at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held the following day in the funeral home's chapel, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Johnny will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Following the funeral service, we will travel in an informal procession to Stewart's Chapel Cemetery for interment, passing Thomas Garage along the way.
