Jolene Allison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cumberland Valley Funeral Home on Feb. 8, 2026.
Jolene Allison passed away peacefully at her residence in Cumberland, Kentucky, on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 12, 1963, to the late Meshak and Christine Davidson Halcomb, Jolene lived a life filled with creativity, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Timothy Allison, and her cherished son, Charles Adam Allison. Though her heart carried the weight of profound loss, Jolene faced each day with remarkable strength and grace, channeling her grief into love for those who remained. She understood suffering intimately yet chose compassion and kindness as her legacy.

Jolene is survived by her loving daughters, Natashia Allison and Ashley Allison and her significant other, JJ Pennington; her brothers, Earl, Johnny, Anthony, and Zeke Halcomb; her sister, Shawanee Tinsley; eight grandchildren, Daviona, Tanykia, Akime, Danielle, Lucas, Conner, Tamariona, and Trusean; three great-grandchildren, Amenadiel, Deandre, and Ziah; and one great-grandchild on the way.

Jolene was a beautiful, loving, and kind lady whose spirit transcended to everyone around her. She had an extraordinary gift for making others smile, laugh, and feel cherished. She was the heartbeat of every family gathering, whether a sit-down meal or a backyard cookout, she always waiting hand and foot on her beloved family with joy in her heart.

A woman of remarkable talent, Jolene could create just about anything. From arts and crafts to handmade clothing and decorative concrete yard statues, her creative spirit knew no bounds. Her handmade purses became treasured possessions among all who were blessed to receive them. She was also a mighty fine baker, known far and wide for her homemade yeast rolls, pastries, and cakes that brought comfort and sweetness to any occasion.

Jolene found joy in the simple pleasures of visiting flea markets, yard sales, and browsing Goodwill for supplies that would fuel her next creative project. She had a smile filled with love and a glow of warm friendliness that lit up every room. But to make no mistake, Miss Jolene was one tough cookie. Though some family members might say she was stubborn at times, she spoke her mind without hesitation, always sharing her hard-earned wisdom with others. Most especially, she poured this guidance into the lights of her life: her grandchildren and great grandbabies. She wanted only the best for them, and they knew without question that they were her heart.

The void left by Jolene's passing is immeasurable. Her family faces this loss with broken hearts, yet they take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with those she loved and lost, and free from the pain she carried with such quiet courage. Her memory will live on in every handmade treasure she created every recipe she perfected, every word of wisdom she shared, and every life she touched with her boundless love.

In keeping with Jolene's wishes, there will be no services.

"Her love remains in the hearts of all who knew her, a light that will never dim."
