Jolynn Wilson, a beloved artist and dedicated waterman, left this world on December 17, 2025, in her hometown of Cambridge, Maryland. Born on September 15, 1971, Jolynn was a vibrant spirit who embraced life with deep passion and compassion. A proud graduate of CSDHS, class of 1989, she carried the creativity and warmth she honed through her years of education into every aspect of her life.

Throughout her career as an artist, Jolynn found joy in expressing her love for art, skillfully capturing the beauty of the world around her. Yet, her heart belonged not just to her crafts but also to the serene waters that surrounded her. As a waterman during crabbing and oystering seasons, she found solace and purpose, reveling in the rhythms of nature and the bounties it provided.

Jolynn was not only known for her artistic talents but also for her tremendous heart. She was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Bonnie "Sue" Wilson. Their bond was inseparable; wherever you saw one, you were sure to see the other. This enduring relationship spoke volumes about Jolynn's nurturing spirit and her relentless dedication to family.

Her love extended beyond the bounds of her family. A passionate animal lover, Jolynn was often seen rescuing cats and caring for strays, reflecting her generous soul and deep empathy for all living creatures. Whether it was feeding the hungry or finding homes for those in need, she made it a mission to extend kindness wherever she could.

Jolynn is survived by her loving mother, Bonnie "Sue" Wilson; her brother, Ronald "Ronnie" Wilson; her niece Makayla Wilson and her cherished aunts, Debbie Brooks, Diana Brooks, Sherry Wheatley and Cindy Osborn. She is also remembered fondly by her uncle, Jimmy Simmons, and her cousins, Tracy Simmons Taylor and Dawn Simmons Ashton. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit and memory, honoring the joy she brought into their lives.

Jolynn is now reunited with her father, Ronald Gene Wilson, her grandmother, Peggy Milligan and her aunt Sandy Simmons all of whom she held dear in her heart.

A visitation in her honor will take place on January 3, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomb and Collins Funeral Home in Cambridge, MD. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life beginning 1:00 p.m., where loved ones can gather to share memories and reflect on the remarkable life she lived.

In her passing, Jolynn leaves behind not just memories, but a legacy of love, creativity, and kindness that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for the light she brought into this world.
