Jon "Michael" Collins

Jon "Michael" Collins, 66, of Lebanon, died, December 3, 2025 in Corvallis, Oregon

He was born November 16, 1959 in Albany, Oregon the son of Royal "Buzz" and Betty (Mulkins) Collins. Mike was raised in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1978.

Mike served in the US Army from 1979 – 1982 as a Military Police Officer at Fort Ord, California and then at Cook's Barracks in Goppingen, Germany. Following his discharge he continued to serve in the reserves until 1985 and was very proud of his service in the military.

Mike married Kristine Lee in February 1984. They made their home in Lebanon and Mike worked as a juvenile detention officer and later as public safety officer at Oregon State University.

Mike enjoyed retirement by watching old westerns, playing with his dogs and cats, watching the OSU Beavers, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Skip and Kelly.

Mike is survived by his wife Kris, sons Nick (Tina) Collins, Jeff Collins and Matt Collins, 5 grandchildren Kennedy Wimer, Aubree, Kapri, Gentry and Salo Collins, brother, Patrick (Lorrie) Collins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 12, 2025 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.
