Jon Bradley Goodman, 66, passed away on January 8, 2026, in
Orlando, Florida. Born on October 20, 1959, in
Boston, Massachusetts, Jon lived a life rich with passion, creativity, and deep connections.
Jon built a successful career in the technology sector, culminating in his role as a Senior Software Developer at CyberArk before his retirement. His work often took him across the country and beyond, travels that not only shaped his professional journey but also led him to meet the love of his life, Mellany. Their shared path became one of enduring partnership and family.
A devoted husband to Mellany, Jon was also a proud father to his two sons, Christopher and Sean, and stepfather to Emma and Stephanie. He cherished time spent with his two beautiful granddaughters, Lily and Mackenzie, and found joy in the simple pleasures of family life. His home was always filled with warmth, and often music as he shared his love for rhythm and melody with those around him.
Music was more than a hobby for Jon, it was a lifelong passion. A talented drummer, he played in a band prior to his passing and found great fulfillment in performing. Whether behind a drum kit or singing at karaoke nights, Jon's musical spirit was infectious. He also had a deep appreciation for teaching and enjoyed sharing knowledge with others, whether about music, technology, or life itself.
Jon's hobbies reflected his vibrant personality and love for both adventure and tranquility. He spent countless hours fishing from his boat, savoring the peace of open water. He loved driving his Camaro with the windows down and the music up. Football Sundays were sacred events, often accompanied by laughter and spirited commentary. At home, he found comfort in the company of his beloved dogs, Cassie and Shadow.
He also treasured quiet moments; listening to the sound of the ocean brought him peace and reflection. These moments captured Jon's essence: someone who embraced both the energy of life's pursuits and the serenity of its stillness.
May Jon Bradley Goodman's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire all who were touched by his generous spirit and unwavering zest for life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mellany Goodman, his step-mother Alana Goodman, sons Sean Goodman and Christopher Goodman, his step daughters Emma De Leon and Stephanie Asinas, his siblings Tonya (Bret) Dunn and Marc Goodman, his granddaughters Lily Goodman and Mackenzie Goodman and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
