Jon "Jack" Ruff. Age 79 of Lincoln Park.
Beloved husband of Deborah. Loving father of Holly Anne (Damon) Scott, Jon Patrick (Sharon) Ruff, Nicole Rochelle (Rocky) Pilkins and Donald Jay Ruff. Dearest grandfather of Tyler (Allie), Paige (Dakota), Elana, William, Zoey, Troy, Olivia and Oliver. Great grandfather of Lily. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Viola Ruff; two brothers, Clarence and Gene; and his siter, Bette.
Jack Ruff was the beloved husband of Deborah. Loving father of Holly Anne (Damon) Scott, Jon Patrick (Sharon) Ruff, Nicole Rochelle (Rocky) Pilkins, and Donald Jay Ruff. Dearest grandfather of Tyler (Allie), Paige (Dakota), Elenna, William, Zoey, Troy, Olivia, and Oliver and great grandfather of Lily and his many nieces and nephews during his incredible 79 years of life. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Viola Ruff; two brothers, Clarence and Gene and his sister Bette. Jack passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on July 3, 2024.
Jack will be remembered for his gentle and kind nature, his witty sense of humor and his love for hunting, fishing and the Detroit Lions. He was a dedicated and honorable man who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Jack joined the Navy and served on the USS Anchorage, which was one of the Navy's most decorated dock landing ships. His work as a metallurgical engineer was his passion. His love and dedication to his career was second only to his family and maybe hunting.
To celebrate Jack's remarkable life, we will gather on Wednesday July 10, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Molnar Funeral Home; Southgate Chapel. In lieu of traditional mourning, we request the joy of your company to share stories and memories, reflecting Jack's vibrant spirit.
