Norman J. “Jon” Sison, 59, of West Bend, passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2026. Jon was born on March 26, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Cesar and Aurora (nee Alonzo) Sison.
Jon carried a lifelong love for all things Disney, a spark of wonder that never dimmed no matter how old he grew. On the slopes of Sunburst Ski Hill in Kewaskum, he wasn’t just a coach or instructor, he was a force of joy, passion, and encouragement. He had a love for skiing and biking but they weren’t just hobbies to him; they were the rhythms of his life, the things that made him feel most alive.
He moved through the world with a gentle heart and a generous spirit. There was something beautifully childlike about him, an openness, a playfulness, that made people feel instantly at ease. Jon treated every person he met like an old friend, and he gave of himself without hesitation.
To the kids he coached, he was far more than someone who taught technique. He believed in them fiercely. He pushed them to grow, to trust in themselves, to discover who they were becoming. His lessons stretched far beyond the hill; they settled into their character, their confidence, their sense of possibility. Jon helped shape lives, not just skiers, and that impact will echo long after the last run of the day.
Those Jon leaves behind to cherish his memory include his son, Aidan Sison; two brothers, Cesar Jr. “Sonny” (Kathleen) Sison and Ira (Theresa) Sison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
