Jon Steven Wangen, age 62, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away at home on February 6, 2026.
Jon was born in Brunswick, Georgia, to Gary and Stephanie (Woy) Wangen. He grew up in Albert Lea, Minnesota, and graduated from River Falls High School in River Falls, Wisconsin, in 1983. He later enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1984 to 1987. In 2008, Jon made his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he remained for the rest of his life.
Jon had a passion for collecting coins and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He found joy in the simple things and the treasures they held. He will be remembered for his quiet strength and the love he had for his family.
Jon was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wangen; his grandmother, Lenore Wangen; and his brother, Steven Wangen.
He is survived by his mother, Stephanie (Woy) Wangen; his sisters, Jodi and Jackie; and his three nephews.
