Jonah Chase Barnes

Jonah, 23, left us on November 2, 2025. He was born on September 23, 2002 along with his twin brother, Devin, Jonah will be deeply missed. Jonah was a loving uncle and a devoted brother. He was a kind and considerate soul who made his parents proud. We are all better for having him in our lives and we will never forget his smile, his laugh, his kindness and his love for his family. A graduate of Pine Forest High School, he loved woodworking as a hobby, and was looking forward to a promising career in HVAC. He enjoyed video games and often played with his other family members. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Horace "Abbie" Abercrombie. He is survived by his mother, Denise Thompson, his father, Mal Thompson, his siblings: Shane and Raven Pudsey, Amanda Barnes, Alyssa and Corey Loudon, Devin Barnes, Stephen Thompson, Kristen and Lily Batchelor. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Ella Pudsey, Piper Pudsey, Graeson Pudsey, Raini Barnes, and Simon Barnes. Other family members include his grandmother, Mildred "Ducky" Abercrombie, aunts Bettie Stevens, Susan Haralson, Lisa Webster (Tony), and cousins Joshua Webster, Max Haralson (Naomi), and Alex Haralson (Katelynn), and their children. Jonah, we will always love you and never forget you. Be at peace in the care of our Heavenly Father.
