Jonas B. Graber, 56, of LaGrange (district: 15), died at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 22, due to a work-related accident. He was born on September 26, 1969, in Geneva, IN, to Reuben and Barbara Ann (Hochstetler) Graber. On September 24, 1992, in Geneva, he married Barbara Schwartz, she survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are ten sons, Jonas (Laura) Graber of LaGrange, Reuben (Barbara) Graber of LaGrange, Henry (Ruby) Graber of Monroe, Willis Graber of LaGrange, Joe (special friend Christina Wickey) Graber of LaGrange, John Graber, Daniel Graber, Amos Graber, Emanuel Graber, Michael Graber, all of LaGrange; two daughters, Barbara (Rudy) Yoder of Millersburg, Susann Graber of LaGrange; 16 grandchildren; seven brothers, Willis (Larene) Graber, Reuben (Amanda) Graber, John (Rachel) Graber, Daniel (Amanda) Graber, all of Geneva, David (Annie) Graber of Bryant, IN, Irvin (Anna) Graber of Geneva, Joe (Susan) Graber of LaGrange; seven sisters, Margaret (Elmer) Schwartz of Shipshewana, Katie (Randy - dec.) Troyer of Berne, Barbara (Ervin) Schwartz of Shipshewana, Sylvia (Sylvan) Schwartz of Croften, KY, Mary (Danny) Neuenschwander of Pennville, IN, Lydia (Menno) Schwartz of LaGrange, Miriam (David) Schwartz of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his father, father-in-law, Henry Schwartz, mother-in-law, Barbara Schwartz. Jonas was a construction worker and farmer. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Friday, October 24, and all-day Saturday, October 25, the family's residence: 1545 S 100 E LaGrange. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Sunday, October 26, at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Marvin Graber and the home ministers. Burial will be in Sandhill Cemetery, LaGrange. Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
