Jonas "Joney" Calvin Hodge, age 70, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky on June 22, 1954; son of the late Charley Lawrence and Bertie (Kidd) Hodge. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, and farming. He worked for years at Ruckles Farm Supply for twenty five years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara Sweet Hodge whom he married on June 27, 1974; a son, Jamey Hodge; siblings, Ruby Harrison, Delbert "Wendy" Hodge, and Joyce Pike; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley Lawrence and Bertie (Kidd) Hodge; siblings, Riley Owen Hodge, James Melvin Hodge, George Carlos Hodge, Alta Irene Hodge, Mamie Hodge, and JoAnn Hodge who died in infancy; three brothers-in-law, Joseph Pike, Walter Harrison, and Kelly Hodge; and two sisters-in-law, Faye Hodge and Sheila Hodge.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jami Hamilton officiating.
Burial will be in Jacob's Loop Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Jonas Hodge Memorial Fund c/o Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
