Jonathan Quevedo Alcaide, 54, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, after a courageous ten-year battle with prostate cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments.
Born on October 3, 1970, Jonathan was the beloved son of Donald and Delendia Alcaide. He was the youngest of four siblings and is lovingly remembered by his brother, Dr. Ferdinand Alcaide, and his sisters, Grace Depaul-Alcaide and Alma Race. He is survived by his husband, John Joseph Silk III.
Jonathan built a life centered on compassion, integrity, and quiet strength. He dedicated many years of service as an Accountant at St. Francis Hospital, where he was respected for his diligence, professionalism, and warmth.
Jonathan's humor, kindness, and generous spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. He faced life-and his illness-with courage, grace, and an unshakable sense of purpose.
There will be a mass service for family and friends at St. Anne Catholic Church Tuesday, May 27th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a cancer research or support foundation of your choice in Jonathan's memory.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet impact. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
