Jonathan A. Bent

Jonathan Adriando Bent, 64, passed away on October 1, 2023, at his home in Stowe, PA, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Donna Jean (Montgomery) Bent, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica, on May 31, 1959, Jonathan was the son of the late Bishop Elijah Bent and Mary Morgan.
Jonathan received his associate's degree from Montgomery County Community College, and worked as a caregiver for Merakey. He considered himself a "gym rat" and loved to walk or run around Valley Forge National Park. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoyed spending time in the city, watching movies, especially Kung Fu, and most of all, spending time with his wife and children.
In addition to his wife, Jonathan is lovingly remembered by his children, Marcus Charles Bent and Cynthia Marie Bent; and his siblings, Beverly Blake, Atlanta, GA, and Barry (& Sonia) Blake, Philadelphia, PA.
A viewing will take place on October 5, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
