Lucas-Batton Funeral Home - Upper SanduskyJonathan Edward Bowling, age 22, of Tiffin, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Tiffin.
Jonathan was born on July 2, 2003 in Tiffin, Ohio, to Edward Bowling, who passed away, and Pamela Gaskins, who survives in Tiffin.
He is survived by 3 brothers: Brandon Gaskins, and his wife Angelina, Billy Joe Howard, Dustyn Michener, along with many aunts and uncles, and cousins.
Jonathan was a graduate of Sentinel Career and Technology Center in Tiffin, and after graduation, he enlisted into the U.S. Army and was trained in communications. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, Jonathan enrolled in the computer science program at Terra Community College, along with working at McDonald’s in Tiffin, and doing Door Dash.
He was a member of New Beginnings Assembly of God in Tiffin, where he was involved as a youth with Smylz and STAND, where he participated with various programs within the church and their outreach ministries.
For hobbies, Jonathan enjoyed playing video games, and reading.
He will be remembered for his heart for Jesus, where he was always generous with his time for others, and the community.
A celebration of Life Service for Jonathan Bowling will be held at 5:00pm Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the New Beginnings Assembly of God, located at 733 N. Sandusky St. in Tiffin, with Pastor Rex King officiating.
There will be a time of gathering for family and friends 1 hour before service, from 4:00 pm to 5:00pm, on Thursday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Beginnings Assembly of God, and can be sent to Lucas Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
