Jonathan Young Brown, born May 20, 1967, was called home on August 25, 2025.
Jonathan (Jon, Jonny) was adopted by Robert and Rosemary Brown of Mesa, Arizona, on October 17, 1967.
He lived a joyful life, always surrounded by his large family, many friends, and a love for the great outdoors. He attended Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona, and served a Latter-day Saints mission in Columbia, South Carolina, from 1987 to 1989.
In 1994, he married Jo Linda (McRae), and together they loved each other unconditionally for over 31 years while raising their children, daughter Kaylee and son Travis. Some of their happiest moments were spent sitting on the porch together, surrounded by the family, friends, and pets he cherished most.
He is surrounded by the love of his wife, Jo; his children, Kaylee (Jake) and Travis; his father, Dennis; his siblings: Holly (William), Dennis (Jessica), Keaton, Natalie, Jennifer (Jack), Ingrid (Jeff), Tamara (Albert), Roberta, and Robert (Tracy); his parents-in-law, Karl and Donna; his siblings-in-law: Mark, Jessie (Richard), Jody (Donald), and Parley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Jonny will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Mesa, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the family.
