A proud graduate of Merritt Island High School, Class of 2011, Jonathan was a gifted athlete who participated in cross country, track, soccer, wrestling, and swimming. His passion for fitness and adventure followed him into his professional life, where he worked as a Brevard County Ocean Rescue Lifeguard and served as a PE teacher at Ambassador Christian Academy. During this time, he began his journey into the world of American Ninja Warrior.
Jonathan quickly became a respected and accomplished competitor within the ninja community. He was not only a strong athlete but also a pioneer-founding, designing, and testing courses for the Ultimate Backyard Warrior competitions. He also built custom backyard ninja courses, decks, and patios, and worked at Tropical Island Nursery, where he enjoyed being surrounded by the beauty of nature.
Jonathan Sharp Brown was a man whose adventurous spirit knew no bounds and whose heart was as generous as the wilderness he cherished. He lived life on his own terms-a free spirit who embraced every moment with passion and courage. Whether scaling obstacles, running through forests, or diving headfirst into a new challenge, he embodied the true essence of an elite athlete. His strength and resilience inspired those around him, yet he remained grounded and humble, always willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
A devoted animal lover and nature enthusiast, Jonathan found peace and joy in the natural world. His home was a haven for animals, and his compassion for all living things ran deep. He loved Christmas with all his heart-cherishing the festive music, traditions, and above all, the time spent with family. Those moments of togetherness brought him immense joy and reflected the deep love he had for those closest to him.
Jonathan's boundless kindness, fierce love for life, and infectious spirit have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Though he may have departed from this world too soon, his soul will forever roam the wild places he adored-and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
He is deeply missed and forever remembered.
