Jonathan Russell Ebling

John Jonathan Russell Ebling 45, of Union Star, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at his home. He was born August 25, 1980 in St. Joseph, MO, and graduated from Lafayette High School. He enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs football and spending time with his family. John was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Trauernicht, maternal grandfather, Daniel Ebling, maternal grandparents, Williams and Sharon Mitchell, and step paternal grandmother, Debbie Epperson. Survivors include: wife, Ann Ebling of the home, mother, Robin (Jeremy) Epperson, Union Star, MO, brothers, Tim Ebling, Travis Trauernicht, St. Joseph, MO, sister, Tracy Trauernicht, Amazonia, MO, step son, Brendan Kelly, step daughter, Madisyn Douglas, father, Jonathan Traunericht, step brothers, Jeremy (Catie) Epperson Jr., Justin Bozarth, and Stephen Epperson, as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation 2-3 pm Friday with funeral services at 3:00 pm Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the John Ebling Memorial Fund in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
