YONKERS, NEW YORK - The Management and Staff of THE SERENITY MORTUARY - HISTORIC BEAUFORT CHAPEL, along with the Fields Family, announce the passing of Mr. Jonathan Fields, 65, of Yonkers, New York, who entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2025, in Newark, New Jersey.

Johnathan Fields of Yonkers, NY, affectionately known as Johnny, was a headstrong spirit who walked through life on his own terms. A loner by nature, he was selective about the people he allowed into his circle, but those who earned a place there knew a loyal, genuine, and deeply caring soul. He didn't need a crowd to feel fulfilled; a few trusted people, a good laugh, and meaningful moments were more than enough.

Though quiet to many, Johnny enjoyed honest conversations and authentic moments. Working with his hands was one of his true passions. Whether fixing, cooking, or tapping into his creative abilities, he found peace and purpose with hands-on work. Working for Yankee Stadium brought him pride and happiness.

In his early years, Johnny attended Greenburgh Central 7 Schools, where he began shaping the confidence and independence that would define him throughout his life. In his adult years, he married Angelina and they shared one son, Michael Fields. He went on to raise Michael as a single father, a role he carried with unwavering commitment.

Johnny is preceded in death by stepfather Willie Harper, grandmother Cassie Fields, and sister Ramona Fields Raiz.

He will be missed by his mother, Delores "Tina" Harper; son, Michael Fields; grandson, Michael Fields Jr.; brothers, Ronnie Fields, Kevin Fields, Darryl Fields (Denise), and Timothy Fields; nieces, Connie and Le'Tia Fields, and Veronica Bland (Damien); nephews, Monterreal Fields, Jamahl Gaston (Tiffany), Tavon Fields, and Darryl Fields Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Also a special friend, Nadya Hussain.
