Jonathan "Jon" Hofer

Mr. Hofer was my 6th grade teacher at Franklin Elementary in the early 1980´s!
To say that he impacted my life would be an understatement. His encouragement and guidance gave me confidence and helped me become the creative person that I am today! Mr. Hofer came to visit me in my 30´s at the gift and home decor shop I owned with my husband in North St. Paul. Still with a spring in his step and a smile in his eyes, he told me he was proud of me! Now in my 50´s, I always tell my 2 teenage sons how lucky I was to have had such a great teacher. There is no other elementary school that was or ever will be as wonderful and unique as Franklin was, and I feel beyond blessed that I was a part of a very special community with teachers who were far more impactful than they would ever know! Mr. Hofer was a GEM, and I wish him Peace in his new home.
It´s FAR BETTER, then where we are in these heavy and dark days. Peace to his family. He was a treasure. I only hope he knew what a wonderful teacher he was.
