Obituary published on Legacy.com by James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Jan. 30, 2026.
Jonathan Blair Jarrell, 38, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on January 27, 2026. He was born on July 1, 1987, in Mayo, Florida.

Jonathan was a devoted husband, father, public servant, and friend. On June 20, 2015, he married the love of his life, Steffanie. His wife and children were always his greatest accomplishments. Jonathan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for ten years with the Security Forces. His calling to make a difference extended beyond the military as he went on to serve his community as a police officer. Jonathan graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and was pursuing his Master's Degree in Intelligence and Security. He was a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He enjoyed sparring, epic Nerf wars, studying history, watching documentaries and the news. His love for his pets, and for animals in general, was a guiding light in his life. Jonathan will be remembered as a man of strength, loyalty, and unwavering love.

He is survived by his loving wife, Steffanie Pace Jarrell; his children: Jayson Conner, Pacey Ann, Molly Sue, Joslin Britt, and Tatum Lucille; his grandmother, Sue Jarrell; as well as his loving pup, Minni. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Jarrell; as well as his loyal pup, Dozer.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 3pm to 4pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. Law Enforcement and Military Honors as well as his Celebration of Life will begin at 4:00pm.
