Jonathan Thomas Mainville, 52, passed from this world to a better place on November 29th, 2024. Jon’s parents are Marvin (Vickie) Mainville and Mary Jo (Dean) O’Connell of Green Bay.
Jon didn’t ask for much in his lifetime, but was forever proud and grateful for his two sons, Jonny (22) and Jay (13). Jon loved his sons more than life itself.
While Jon’s struggle with depression was his biggest demon, he loved fishing and hunting with his family. The cabin up North was a favorite place for Jon.
Fond memories for Jon were going to Packer games with his sons, camping, and being best man at his brother’s wedding - giving an awesome, off-the-cuff, tribute to Ryan and Angela.
One thing Jon was known for was giving hugs; he gave the best bear hugs anyone could!
The Once Again Resale Shop in Neenah gave Jon a strong feeling of accomplishment and success. Another opportunity in life for Jon to shine was whenever he was able to help himself or others fix, repair, or build something to its original state.
Jon has survived through his sons, Jonny and Jay; his father, Marvin (Vickie); his mother, Mary Jo (Dean); his brother, Ryan (Angela); nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth “Jack” & Vivian Mainville and Ed & Arletta Leanna.
Services will be held Saturday, December 7th at Newcomer Funeral Home, Green Bay, WI (920) 432-4841. Visitation will be at 10:30; services at 12:00. Pastor Mark Schmechel will be officiating.
