Jonathan Milliner, age 53, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was born on March 31, 1970, in McMinnville, Tennessee, to his parents James and Regina Milliner. He was one of three children. Jonathan earned a masters degree, and worked in claims in health insurance. Outside of work, he loved basketball, and attending Vanderbilt games with his nephew, Caleb.
Jonathan was a man of faith. He was a Gideon, who shared the word of God with many people. In addition to spreading the word of the gospel, Jonathan traveled to Haiti, and twice to the Dominican Republic to do missionary work. He also led a Sunday School class at one point. Jonathan attended First Baptist Church of Hendersonville.
He will be remembered as a strong Christian man, who was caring and compassionate. Jonathan was always willing to help and was someone his family could depend on. He will be dearly missed.
Jonathan James Milliner is survived by his father, James Leslie Milliner; mother, Regina Annette (Pryor) Milliner; sisters, Angie Hendricks, Jenny Hallman; daughter, Sarah Milliner; nieces and nephews, Rachel Sarkisian (Vartan Sarkisian), David Hendricks (Victoria Hendricks), Caleb Hendricks, Kayla Hendricks, Jessica Hardin (Chris Hardin), Sarah Lawrence (Josh Lawrence), Katherine East (Justin East); great nieces and nephews, Savannah Sarkisian, Arman Sarkisian, Gabriel Sarkisian, Elizabeth Hendricks, Alexandra Hendricks, Abigail Hardin, John Hardin, Wyatt Lawrence, Walker Lawrence, and Cole Lawrence.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Pryor; maternal grandmother, Charlene Pryor; paternal grandfather, Marvin Milliner; and his paternal grandmother, Eugene Milliner.
Visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 3:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., and again on Thursday, January 4, 2023, from 12:00 P.M., until 1:00 P.M..
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Thursday, January 4, from the Chapel of Crestview Funeral Home. Bro. Bruce Raley will be officiating.
Burial will immediately follow in Crestview Memory Gardens.
Those serving as pall bearers are David Hendricks, Caleb Hendricks, Chris Hardin, John Hardin, Cecil Boswell, Neil Chenault, Stephen Boling, and Wes Mowery.
