Jonathan R. Parent, 38, of Bristol, CT, passed away on October 24th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Hartford Hospital. Jonathan dedicated his career to administration at the Hospital for Special Care of New Britain, where he found great purpose in supporting patients and celebrating their progress. His compassion and commitment touched countless lives, and he will be remembered for the kindness he showed to everyone he met. An Eagle Scout alongside his father, Gene, Jonathan carried the values of service and perseverance throughout his life. He had a contagious laugh, a smile that could light up a room, and a creative spirit that inspired those around him. Jonathan loved spending time outdoors with his sons, Jackson and Jayden, especially while working together in the yard. He shared a special bond with his sister, Heather, enjoying time at Special Olympics events, Yankees games, and cheering on UConn. His passion for cars and his eye for creativity were lifelong joys. Jonathan is survived by his mother, Della Parent; his sister, Heather Parent; his sons, Jackson and Jayden Parent; Josephine Parent, the mother of his children and his lifelong best friend, his beloved dog, Bentley; all of Bristol. He was predeceased by his father, Gene Parent. Jonathan was deeply loved by family, friends, and colleagues, and his memory will live on in the laughter, love, and light he shared. The family would like to thank the staff at Hartford Hospital for their compassion, excellent care, and endless efforts. A trust fund has been established for his children.
