So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned." ~Peter Pan
Our beloved child has passed from this earth, on to the next adventure. Jonathan Rae Schneider was born November 14, 2007, and passed unexpectedly December 22, 2023. Our Tall child had chosen to go by Sam and loved nothing more than the baby kitty, Roma, that they had gotten for their 16th birthday, spending time with a very close knit group of friends, playing Risk, running track, excelling in school, and doing a myriad of art.
Our smart, sweet, child was an honor student, lettering in academics their Freshman year and achieving straight A's for the first semester of Sophomore year. Sam was passionate about Paleontology, having announced they wanted to be a Paleontologist when they grew up at the tender age of 5 for their kindergarten graduation. Sam is now surrounded by seven great-grandparents, Aunt Sue, Uncle Gary, and cousins and relatives from all over, and they are holding Sam in their embrace and love. Sam is survived in this world by their mother, father, little sister, Uncle, Aunts, cousins, paternal and maternal grandparents, and Sam's 92 year old great-grandmother.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 20, 2024 at 2 pm at Maple Grove Grange, 3130 Youngfield St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80215. (3130 Youngfield St, Wheat Ridge, CO 80215)
Donations in Sam's memory can be made to Denver Museum of Nature and Science (In remembrance of Jonathan Schneider, the family asks that charitable donations be made to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science at dmns.org/donate. When making a contribution, please indicate in memory of Jonathan "Sam" Schneider, so we may share our gratitude with you) or towards the 529 education fund for Sam's little sister, Lori Jo (please go to ugift529.com with code K8H-R82).
