Jonathan Earl Smith, 28, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026 in Stephenville, Texas.
A visitation with the Smith Family will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
Jonathan was born on July 8, 1997 to Fabian Smith and Melissa Adkins in Terrell, Texas. He graduated from Ford High School in Quinlan, Texas, and served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a lead HVAC Technician in Stephenville, Texas. Jonathan was known to be the light in a dark room. He was the first to make you laugh in a bad situation with his silly laugh, and made people feel comfortable enough to be themselves. He strived to be the best brother and uncle he could be, and his family was always his number one priority. Jonathan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jonathan is survived by his brother, Kevin Smith and wife Micaela of Walters, Oklahoma, and Chance Chreene and wife Jordan Chreene of Terrell, Texas, and his cousin, Christopher Hinson of Stephenville, TX; nieces, Emma Smith, Zoey Smith, Scarlett Hinson, and Kinslee Cardona; nephews, Brycen Chreene,Karcen Chreene, and Daxton Chreene; and sister, Trisha Smith.
