Jonathan L. "John" Walker

Mr. Jonathan L. "John" Walker, Sr., 61, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, September 15, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, November 26, 1963, to the late Shirley Faye Walker.

Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Faye Walker; son, Daniel Walker; grandparents, Frank and Ethel Walker; three uncles, Tommy Walker, Hughe Walker, and Lonnie Walker; aunt, Lynn Herron. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Walker; four children, Johnny Walker (Shaina), Joshua Walker, Joseph Walker (Morgan), and Amanda Ward (Corey), all of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Charles Walker (Kelly) of Atmore, AL; two sisters, Stephanie Horne (Bark) of Crestview, FL and

Stacey Andrews (Rusty) of Brewton, AL; grandchildren, Jasen Walker, Jagger Walker, Journey Walker, Jolie Walker, Josie Walker, Jensen Walker, Jamie Walker, Joanna Walker, John Luke Walker, Charlee Millican, Walley Ward, Asher Henderson, and one on the way; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Walker will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 19, 2025, at Walker Family Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Adam Walley officiating. Interment will be in Walker Family Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
