Johnny and I shared a room during our youth but pursued different career paths after Naval Service. He was a really intelligent problem solver who could analyze most anything with parts and assure its repair. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed the toys to have a fulfilling recreational season. John liked politics and challenging the status quo. He was swift to share and back his opinion or position. With John, a robust conversation was only a breath away. A fan of Southern Rock music, Sweet Home Alabama was among his favorite tunes. He believed in the song lyrics and fiercely advocated for freedom of choice and independence. John had many friends and will be fondly remembered for a resounding laugh. Rest in peace brother, we´ll save some shrimp for you.
