Obituary of Jonathon D Cowger
Jonathon Dale Cowger was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 29, 2003, and passed away October 29, 2025. Son of Jeanne and Dale Cowger (adoptive) John Rhoads and Lori Rulli, Douglas and Christine Edwards. Grandson of Jeanne Lewis, Joseph Rulli, and Beverly Myers. Jonathon was the youngest brother of many siblings, Douglas, AnnMarie, Lisa, Angela, Jeanne, Taylor, Kylie, three step siblings, Ashton, Ayrron, Alysse and two adoptive sisters, Melissa and Jennifer of Florida.
Jonathon attended Pleasant Hill Elementary, Hoyt Middle School, East High School and graduated from Lincoln High school in Des Moines Iowa. Spent time working at Great Escape, Casey, and Long John Silvers. He spent a lot of his free time listening to music, skateboarding and helping others.
He was 22 years old and did not have a lot of time on this earth but Jonathon was a kind soul that touched the lives of many in his short time, he was a person you could always count on to make you laugh even when you are having a rough day. His bright blue eyes and smile would light up a room on your worst day.
He was a great friend to many people, always gave a shoulder to lean on and a listening ear to anyone struggling with their mental health. He was a sweet kid who had many struggles in life. He had still managed to keep a positive outlook despite many tough obstacles. He was known for being the sweet but wild 'big little brother' who gave the best bear hugs and always made sure he told everyone how much he loved them. He will be remembered and cherished by many.
