JoNell Glaesmann

JoNell Glaesmann, a cherished soul and beacon of kindness, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2026, in Waller, Texas, at the age of 84.

Born on January 27, 1942, in La Grange, Texas, JoNell's life was one of unwavering love, dedication, and service, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Raised by her late parents, OraNell and Joe Matejowsky, JoNell inherited a legacy of strength and compassion that would define her own journey through life.

Her sister, Debbie Stanford, and her husband, Leland, fondly remember JoNell's vibrant spirit and the close-knit bond they shared throughout the years. JoNell experienced profound love and companionship with her late husbands, Harvey Joe Fajkus and Clinton Taylor. Her enduring love story continued with her beloved husband, Orville Glaesmann, with whom she shared countless cherished moments.

A devoted mother, JoNell's legacy lives on through her sons, Kirk Fajkus and his wife, Toni, and Nick Fajkus and his wife, Donna. Her nieces, Tiffany Tableriou and Lindsay McCormack, also held a special place in her heart, as they were a source of immense pride and joy. JoNell was blessed with a lineage of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable happiness. Her grandson, Kyle Fajkus, and his wife, Jordan; granddaughter, Kaylea Sassie, and her husband, Seth; and grandchildren, Cole and Jade Fajkus, will forever cherish the wisdom and love she imparted. JoNell was also a doting great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren, who will grow up with stories of her kindness and grace.

Professionally, JoNell dedicated 25 years of service to the Highway Department, where her hard work and commitment were well respected by her colleagues. Her involvement with her work community extended beyond her professional duties, as she formed lasting friendships and associations that enriched her life.

A devout Christian, JoNell's faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. Her belief in kindness and the importance of community was evident to all who crossed her path. JoNell's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her love for the outdoors and her creative spirit. She found solace in planting, where her hands would bring forth life from the earth, and her soul would be refreshed by the simple act of nurturing growth. Camping and fishing were activities that allowed her to connect with nature and share memorable experiences with her family and friends. Her love for Bingo brought her excitement and camaraderie, while crafting provided an outlet for her artistic talents, creating beautiful pieces that will be treasured by her loved ones.

JoNell Glaesmann's life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and service. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we take solace in the knowledge that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Her legacy of love, resilience, and joy will remain a comforting presence in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations of La Grange. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Waldeck Cemetery.
