Joni Cook - Griffin, age 58, passed away May 25, 2024. She was born October 23, 1965 to Thomas and Sandra (Thomas) Cook in Council Bluffs, IA. Joni married Bill on November 8, 1997, the couple had two children and the family resided in Macedonia. Joni had a love of reading, and enjoyed antiquing with her favorite person, her husband. Her children were the delight of her life. She spent her career serving foster children in Southwest Iowa. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy and Virginia Cook and Robert and Betty Thomas.
Joni is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bill Griffin; Son, Mitchell Griffin; daughter, Molly Griffin; her parents, Thomas and Sandra Cook; sister, Julie (Roger) Kipe; brothers, Tommy Cook and Todd (Jennifer) Cook; nieces, nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
Funeral Service will be held at 9:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Final resting place at Omaha National Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
