Joni Marie Snider (nee Whitford), age 69, went home to her Lord on September 9, 2023.
Joni was born in
St. Louis, Missouri to John and Jacqueline Whitford (nee Junge). Joni married Robert David Snider in 1972.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughters Patricia Ann Snider and Melissa Kay Snider.
Joni is survived by her beloved husband Bob Snider; her children Rob (Susan) Snider and Tracey (Tim) Sohn; her grandchildren August, Prudence, Abram, and Myles; her best friend Kerry (the late Jim) Murray; as well as her siblings Jan (Steve) Allred, Jeanie (the late Jack) Wittmann, John "Herman" Whitford, Jamie (Dennis) Jordan, and Julie (Donnie) Puder. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Joni had many loves in her life. She loved running the St. Ferdinand Fish Fry, where she was surrounded by friends and family. She loved going to the boat (Ameristar) with her friends and family! She was a very "Go-with-the-flow" type of woman who was up for anything!
Mostly, she loved being surrounded by her friends and family. She would light up any room with the biggest smile when one of her grandchildren would walk in the house. She loved spending her time with them, baking, crafting, helping with homework, and teaching them the King game! Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.
Memorial donations in Joni's name are appreciated the
American Heart Association and
American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Road,
Florissant, MO 63031.
Service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00am at Hutchens Mortuary.
Interment to immediately follow service, with procession to Memorial Park Cemetery, 5200 Lucas and Hunt Road, St. Louis, MO 63121.
