Jonnie Archer Teston, age 68, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.
Mrs. Teston was born January 1, 1958 in Sullivan, Indiana to the late John William Archer and the late Iva Lee Laslie Archer. She was a member of Baxley Church of God and was the store manager at PoJo’s Convenient Store. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Cliver.
Survivors include her husband, William Teston of Baxley; daughter, Jocelyn Whisnant of Jacksonville, FL and two stepdaughters, Tonya Strickland and Lori Duncan both of Baxley; son, Robert Allen Dolkey of Bicknell, IN; sister, Karen Johnson of Vincennes, IN; brothers, Glenn Archer of Bicknell, IN, George Archer of Oden, IN, Steve Archer of Vincennes, IN and Charlie Archer of Bicknell, IN; and a stepmother, Brenda Archer of IN. Eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Lamar Lee and Pastor Darron Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow at Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Rodney Carter, Noonie Carter, Mike Sellers, Ruby Carter, Jr., Mickel Christian, and Bobby Christian.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Baxley Church of God and the staff of Comfort Care Hospice.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
