Jordy Alan Velazquez

Jordy opened me into Paycom with open arms. Off the bat, he made a quick joke that began our friendship. He was the kind of friend who you always could come to for the best advice; both professionally and personally. I think about some of the advice Jordy gives me daily. Sending so much love to his family. He spoke so highly of each and everyone of you. Sending all my love.

Still can´t wrap my head around the loss of Jordy.

We worked together at Paycom, and from the minute I met him, he was the light in the room-the goof, the mood-lifter, the one who always knew how to make people laugh. He had a way of making you feel seen and supported, especially when you needed advice or a little encouragement. He´d be the first one to hype you up or offer a thoughtful word. the picture below i was roughly 12 weeks pregnant, we had just cold called for 4 hours, i was so sick the whole time i just needed to lay on the floor and take a minute; he never failed to join me when i needed a moment.

One of the things I´ll never forget is how much he loved his momma-he talked about her all the time, with so much pride and affection. That love said everything about the kind of person Jordy was.

He once told me he used to be a teacher before Paycom. At first, I thought it was just another one of his jokes. But then I heard him speak one day-so gracefully, so powerfully, with the heart of someone who lived to motivate and uplift others. In that moment, it made perfect sense. He was a teacher at heart.

Losing Jordy at such a young age is beyond devastating. He was a hustler, a true friend, and a joy to know. I feel lucky to have had him in my life, even for a short time.

Sending so, so much love to his family and close friends. You´re in my thoughts every step of the way.

Rest easy, Jordy. You´ll never be forgotten.
