José Adrian Aguilar Tapia, 52, of McKinney, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2025.
Adrian was born on July 8, 1973, in Higüero de Abuya, Sinaloa, Mexico, to Juan Aguilar Moreno and María Elena Tapia Román.
He was a humble, joyful man who approached every day as a gift. His happiest moments were spent laughing with friends and family, cheering on his beloved soccer team, C.D. Guadalajara “Chivas,” or making a quick trip north for an evening at the casino. He found joy in the little moments and shared that joy generously with everyone around him.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Janet Waite; his parents, Juan and María Aguilar; and his four siblings: Jesús Aguilar Tapia (M), Juana Aguilar Tapia (M), Renato Aguilar Tapia (M), and Sidia Aguilar Tapia (M). He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply.
He will be remembered for a laugh that could light up any room and a kindness that nourished everyone he encountered—whether through a lovingly prepared meal, a spontaneous toast, or a shared moment of joy over something small and silly. Adrian lived to celebrate life, and he made every gathering feel like a blessing.
