Jose Arriaga Ambriz passed away on November 1, 2025, in Watsonville, California at the age of 88 years old.
He was born on September 28, 1937, in Texas, but was a resident of Santa Cruz County for 60 years.
Jose enjoyed watching old Westerns on TV, attending the Elderday Program, and loved visiting with friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his late wife Reynalda Calderon Angeles Arriaga.
Jose is remembered by his children Richard Angeles, Sylvia Blair, Christina Gonzales, Victoria Sanchez, Maria Elisa Huerta, Jose Chacon, Diana Gallegos, and Angelica Espino. He was also blessed with 30 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
A private viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 5PM to 6PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A public viewing will be held the same day Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6PM to 8PM with the Rosary at 7PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 10AM at Valley Catholic Church, followed by a Celebration of Life.
