Jose Guadalupe Arguelles, 40 of Waco, passed away on September 16, 2025. Funeral service for Mr. Arguelles will be at 11:00am, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Martin Cardosa of Iglesia Apostolica in Plainview, officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
Jose was born on December 3, 1984, in San Benito, Texas to Jose Placido Arguelles and Candida Davila Villlagomez.
Jose was known as Paco to all his friends. He was a jokester, and found humor in stuffed animals, every time he saw them, he would laugh at them. He was not a man of many words, but would express himself through his favorite character, Garfield, in the family group chat. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, watching movies, listening to music, reading, playing video games, and spending time with his family. His favorite places to eat were Wingstop, and Golden Chicken, which he would call "Clucky's."
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Placido Arguelles, and his brother-in-law, Rigo Sotomayor.
Jose is survived by his mother and stepfather, Candida and Luis Villagomez; three brothers, Jose Campos (Margarita) of Monterrey, Mexico, Martin Arguelles (Rosa) of Harlingen, TX, and Sergio Arguelles (Melisa) of Tulia, TX; four sisters, Elvira Campos (Alejandro Torres), Maria Antonia Campos (Ramon), Antonia Campos all of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and Mariana Arguelles (Javier Torres) of Crosbyton, TX.

Jose Guadalupe Arguelles, de 40 años, de Waco, falleció el 16 de septiembre de 2025. El servicio funerario para el Sr. Arguelles se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a.m., el miércoles 24 de septiembre de 2025, en Lemons Memorial Chapel con Martin Cardosa de la Iglesia Apostólica en Plainview como oficiante. El entierro será en el Cementerio de Plainview. La velación se realizará desde las 4:00 p.m. hasta las 8:00 p.m., el martes 23 de septiembre de 2025, en Lemons Memorial Chapel. Los arreglos funerarios están encomendados a Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.
