Jose Jesus Berrones aka "Joe or JJ" was born November 10, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas to parents Jose and Maria Elena Berrones. Jose went to be with our Lord on June 18, 2025 at the age of 69. He passed away peacefully. Jose is preceded in death by his mother; Maria Elena Berrones, spouse; Sylvia Ann Berrones, brothers; Roy Berrones, Guadalupe Berrones, and John Berrones. He is survived by his father; Jose C. Berrones, Sons:John Roy Berrones, Michael Berrones (Miranda), Adrian Berrones (Veronica). Daughter: Michele Rodriguez; Brothers Rudolfo Berrones, Ruben Berrones and wife Sylvia, and Daniel Berrones; Grandchildren: Alexandria Zepeda, Jason Rodriguez, Sophia Rodriguez, Lilly Berrones, Logan Berrones, Fabian Berrones and Sebastian Berrones; and Great Grandson Roberto Gonzales III and many nieces and nephews. Joe was married to the love of his life Sylvia for 29 years. He served in the United States Marine Corp from June 1974 and was honorably discharged December 1979 as Private First Class (E-2). He received National Defense Service Medal and Rifle Sharpshooters Badge. Joe was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Joe was the kind of person that would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He would do anything, for anyone, whenever he could. He always made sure that you felt loved and included. He never turned his back on anyone he cared about. We know that because you are all here today to celebrate his life. Somehow or some way he made an impact on you, whether he impacted you by his BBQ or his famous turkey legs, his catering, his love for music, through conversation, something he did for you or just being himself. He was good at showing up for you if you needed him. He was a fighter. He fought through his battle with cancer and through illness; and he fought until he took his very last breath on June 18, 2025.
