Preceding him in death was his daughter, Maricela Prieto.
Jose Luis is survived by his children: Alma Cardenas, Elva J. Rodriguez, Guillermina Roque, Jose Luis Cardenas, Gerardo Cardenas and Sergio Cardenas. Jose Luis is also survived numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other close relatives and friends.
Funeral services are pending at this time.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Trinity Mortuary, 206 Kings Way, Del Rio, Texas (830) 775-2230.
