August 31, 1985 - August 30, 2025 Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God" Matthew 5:8 Jose Antonio Lugo Chacon (Tony), 39, passed away in Lawrenceville, GA on August 30, 2025. He was doing what he did best, working hard and worshipping the Lord when he passed away suddenly & unexpectedly. Tony was born to Antonio and Millie Lugo in Puerto Rico on August 31, 1985. He was raised with his younger sister Jessenia Lugo (Jesy). His Puerto Rican heritage was evident in his vibrant spirit, creative abilities, and love for family. Tony was a talented artist and musician from a young age. He was also an exceptional baseball player as a young man. Tony moved to the U.S. at age 13. He started learning English in Puerto Rico by watching American television, specifically his favorite sitcom, Friends. He continued to excel in baseball and played for Collins Hill High School. He then went on to study art, with an emphasis on illustration and animation, at the Academy of Art University. He met his beautiful wife, Lindsey, at Cornerstone Fellowship Church. He admired her as soon as he met her and they became quick friends. After a year of friendship they began dating and fell in love. Lindsey was drawn to Tony's charming smile, captivating singing voice, jovial spirit and love for the Lord. Tony and Lindsey were married in Hawaii in 2011 on the island of Maui, Tony's favorite place in the world. They welcomed their beautiful twin boys to the world in 2012. The family settled in Lawrenceville, GA and built their dream home together in 2023. Tony & Lindsey made many sacrifices to make this dream a reality and poured their blood, sweat and tears into the design and construction of their home. Tony instilled a sense of hard work, sacrificial love, faithful service and devotion to the Lord in his family. Tony was a loyal, supportive husband and a loving, caring father. His love for family was only outweighed by his love for the Lord. Tony worked tirelessly and faithfully for Cintas since April 14th, 2014. He was named one of the Top 15 Sales Service Reps in the Southeast, not only for his exceptional work ethic, but also for his caring commitment to his customers and co-workers. This was more than a job to Tony, it was a ministry. He genuinely cared for everyone he worked with - connecting with them on a personal level, encouraging them, and praying for them. Tony started his own business, Green Acres Pro Landscaping, in the Summer of 2022. Lindsey was so proud of her husband for chasing his dreams! She'd never met anyone who worked as hard as he did. With this endeavor, Tony continued to serve his community and make the most of every opportunity to demonstrate and share the love of the Lord through his work. Tony also faithfully served the church as a worship leader. One of his dear friends described him perfectly: "Tony 'the Tiger' was larger than life. He was full of passion, laughter, and fire. He carried a gift of connection, care, and communication that made every person he met feel seen and valued. Through the way he led worship - never a show, always poured out for the Lord and His people - Tony demonstrated true servant leadership. He was a good friend, a voice of encouragement, and a vivacious yet humble soul, whose passion for the Lord touched countless lives. He lived the reality that church is not just a building, but a family - and his life was a living testimony of that truth. We can confidently say: Tony was ready for Heaven. He loved to worship, and his life was marked by worship - both on the platform, and in the way he lived, served, and loved." Tony is survived by his wife Lindsey Lugo and their twin sons, Austin and Lawson Lugo, his parents Anotonio and Mily Lugo, his sister Jesy Lugo Tepoz (Moises), Dustin & Michelle Pennington, Rebecca Thomas, In-laws, nieces & nephews, cousins, friends and church family. A service to celebrate Tony's life will be held at The Fountain on Saturday, September 20th at 12:00pm. To celebrate Tony and to honor his big heart and warm personality, we request that you come dressed in cheerful attire, instead of the traditional black attire.
