Jose Raul "Chico" Colon

Jose Raul "Chico" Colon, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Bethlehem, PA, on October 6, 2024, at the age of 42. Born on February 2, 1982, to the late Cruzma M. Torres, Chico was a lifelong resident of Bethlehem and a figure well-known for his charisma and unwavering spirit.
Chico attended Freedom High School, where he made lifelong friends and memories. He then embarked on a career that would span nearly two decades. He dedicated 19 years of service to C and S Wholesale Grocer, where he was not only a respected manager but also a mentor and friend to his colleagues. Chico's work ethic and leadership inspired those around him, and his absence will leave a void in the hearts of his co-workers and the company.
Family was the cornerstone of Chico's life. He was a devoted father to his daughters, Ausjoli M. Colon of Orlando, FL, Aliyah N. Colon of Bethlehem, PA, and Nessa Cartagena of Bethlehem. Chico's love for his girls was evident in everything he did, and he instilled in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and joy. His guidance and love will continue to be a guiding light in their lives. Chico is survived by his loving siblings, who shared in his journey through life: Luz M. Estojak and her husband Joseph of Bethlehem, Elizabeth Colon of Bethlehem, Samuel A. Colon of Bethlehem, and Charlene I Colon of Wind Gap. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, dog Cooper, and cats Milo and Ash.
Chico's interests and hobbies were a reflection of his vibrant personality. He was an avid gamer, finding joy and camaraderie in the virtual worlds he explored with friends. On the golf course, Chico's competitive yet playful nature shone through, as he enjoyed both the challenge of the game and the tranquil moments amidst nature. His passion for football, particularly his unwavering support for the Philadelphia Eagles, was well known among his friends and family.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 7 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18018 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 5 P.M.. until time of the service.
